NOTHING MORE TO SAY
You walk into my life, then walk away,
There's nothing more for me to say;
As quietly I lay my head,
Upon my pillow on my bed;
There's no one here to hold my hand,
And no one here to understand.
I'm only a shadow in your life,
And the pain in my heart, it cuts like a knife;
Our eyes they met across the room,
As we looked at each other through the gloom;
The spark was electric as your eyes met mine,
We were meant for each other, it was a matter of time.
You beckoned me over with a glance from your eyes,
And I secretly smile as if in surprise;
Your glass you raise, your lips part in a smile,
It was just a short distance, but seemed like a mile;
Then my hands start to shake and my heart cries out loud,
As you were swallowed up by the moving crowd.
So on my pillow in my bed, I shed the tears for words unsaid,
As into my life for a second you came, never to appear again;
Now my life is so empty and my heart is so low,
You were the man of my dreams and you never will know;
So out of my life you went on your way,
And there's nothing more for me to say.
